Laser Cutting

Laser cutting has revolutionised the accuracy and speed of metal sheet cutting with no need for hard tooling and with substantial savings in use of materials. As 'digital tooling' is used, repeatable subsequent orders are guaranteed to be free from batch to batch variations. However, when design modifications are required, these be can accommodated quickly and inexpensively.  

Cut items have an excellent finish requiring no de-burring. Operations such as cutting and drilling can be combined in a single operation reducing machining costs still further.  

All our machines are networked allowing direct access to our CAD department.  By using a common CAD file throughout the production processes of cutting, tooling, forming and inspection, we are able to eliminate the risk of out of date files being used in error.

FNAQ also produces laser engraving (whereby the sheet is cut to part depth). This can be used for decoration, product identification and for structural reasons.

FNAQ have an extensive range of software tools including Solidworks to control design and Trumpf Tops to optimise use of sheet material by nesting shapes and utilising common cut paths.

We keep stock of material from 0.5mm to 12mm.
